Work That Holds Up.
Built By People Who Stay.
Acidic Studios is a small production laboratory working on identity, film, and digital systems for brands that take their craft seriously. We hire rarely, we hire for the long term, and we treat the work — and the people doing it — with care.
WHAT WE
LOOK FOR
We're not a fast-growth studio. The list below isn't aspirational — it's how the studio actually runs, day to day.
Slow on Purpose
We take fewer projects so each one gets the attention it deserves. No timesheets, no utilization metrics, no racing the clock.
Craft Over Output
We'd rather ship one thing we're proud of than five we're not. The work has to earn its place before it leaves the lab.
Senior by Default
Every role here is treated as a senior one. We trust people to make decisions, set direction, and own outcomes from day one.
Honest About the Work
We tell clients when something isn't right, even when it's inconvenient. We extend the same honesty internally.
OPEN POSITIONS
We update this list whenever a role opens. Nothing fitting? Apply anyway at the bottom of this page.
WHAT WE OFFER
The practical things that shape how it actually feels to work here. Reviewed every year, adjusted when they need to be.
Four-Day Week
Mon–Thu, year-round. Fridays are protected — no meetings, no expectations, no email.
Profit Share
After your first year, a share of studio profit is paid out based on tenure, not title.
Learning Budget
£2,000 per year for courses, books, conferences, or studio visits — yours to spend, no approval.
Sabbatical
A paid four-week sabbatical at the five-year mark, on top of your regular leave.
Your Setup
Choose the machine, display, and tools that suit how you work. We cover it, fully.
Remote, Done Right
Two in-person studio weeks per year — one in spring, one in autumn. Everything else is wherever you are.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
Four steps, usually three weeks end to end. We aim to be quick and honest at every stage.
Tell Us About Your Work
A short form: a few questions, a link to your portfolio or recent work. No cover letters required.
A 30-Minute Call
An informal conversation with the person you'd be working closest with. No trick questions.
A Paid Working Session
Two hours on real brief material, paid at your rate. We see how you think; you see how we work.
A Clear Answer
We come back to you within five working days, with a decision and honest feedback either way.
Don't See Your
Role? Write Anyway.
We keep a small file of people we'd like to work with when the right project comes along. If you like the look of what we do, introduce yourself — we read every message.
